Silvia is a founding partner of Santiago Mediano and head of the Industrial Property Department. She has more than 25 years of experience in prestigious national and international law firms, providing comprehensive advice on matters related to industrial property rights, including trademarks, patents and designs.
She specialises in the design and implementation of global strategies for the protection of industrial property rights, including the management of large international portfolios. She advises companies on the defence, exploitation and maximisation of their intangible assets, working closely with law firms and industrial property agents around the world and coordinating complex procedures in multiple jurisdictions.
She regularly represents leading companies in the media & entertainment, fashion, sports and real estate sectors in obtaining, registering and defending their rights before national and international offices.
She is an accredited Official Agent before the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM), a representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and before the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), which allows her to act directly before the main trademark and patent offices.
