Chris Cooke is a lawyer specialising in commercial and corporate law and heads Santiago Mediano’s UK Desk.
He has extensive international experience, with more than 25 years advising companies on legal matters.
He began his professional career in London, where he worked for nine years, first as a litigator and later as a legal executive in the commercial department at the European headquarters of Warner Bros. Filmed Entertainment and Pathé Productions.
For more than eighteen years, he has been practising in Spain, advising both Spanish companies with interests abroad and British and American clients with operations or litigation in Spanish territory.
He is part of the firm’s Commercial and Corporate Law team and regularly collaborates on industrial and intellectual property matters, particularly in the entertainment, retail and fashion sectors.
His experience includes drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, licences and franchises, joint ventures, partnership agreements, investment structuring, content production and distribution, intellectual property rights management, software development and resolution of contractual disputes or disputes arising from infringement of rights.
