Javier is a founding partner of Santiago Mediano and a lawyer specialising in corporate law, with a solid track record in national and international transactions, particularly in the technology, fashion, entertainment, tourism, engineering and renewable energy sectors.
He holds a degree in Law from the University of Salamanca and furthered his education with postgraduate studies in Civil and Private Law at the same university and specialised law programmes at UCLA (USA).
Before founding the firm in 2003, he worked at international law firms such as Squire, Sanders & Dempsey and Ashurst, as well as Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo, consolidating a strategic and global vision of business advice.
He advises companies in all phases of their corporate activity, from contract design and negotiation to complex sales transactions, restructuring, internationalisation and regulatory compliance.
He also heads the firm’s Debt & Restructuring department, a multidisciplinary team of experts in finance, business strategy, taxation, labour and litigation, from which she accompanies companies in transformation or crisis processes, working in an integrated manner with their legal and financial departments.
